Lemongrass Essential Oil is steam distilled from the fresh or partly-dried leaves of Cymbopogon citratus, also known as “oil grass.” Renowned for its refreshing, energizing aroma, this oil is traditionally used to combat fatigue, stress, and nervous exhaustion while uplifting the mind.

Therapeutically, lemongrass supports the parasympathetic nervous system, aids muscle tone, and alleviates soreness. It also promotes healthy skin by reducing excess oil and perspiration, and has applications for colitis, indigestion, fever, sore throat, and infections. Traditionally known as Indian Verbena or fevergrass, it has been valued in Ayurveda for its restorative and antimicrobial properties. Care should be taken with skin application, and use is not recommended during pregnancy.
