Historical Lore

Rose quartz is a variety of quartz found in regions including Brazil, Madagascar, India, and South Africa. It has been used since antiquity in carved ornaments and jewellery, with archaeological evidence of use in ancient Egyptian, Roman, and Mesopotamian cultures. It was commonly shaped into beads, seals, and decorative objects due to its availability and ease of working. Historically, it was valued primarily for its colour and ornamental qualities rather than rare or ceremonial use.
