Ylang Ylang I Essential Oil is extracted from the fragrant yellow flowers of the Ylang Ylang tree, native to Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia. Highly prized in perfumery and cosmetics, it also has aromatherapeutic benefits. It relaxes the mind and body, relieves stress, depression, shock, and anxiety, and may help lower blood pressure. Used in hair care, it balances oil production. High concentrations may cause headaches or nausea.

Historically, it was considered an aphrodisiac and used to scent marriage beds in Indonesia and harems in Muslim palaces.
