This is an organic ceremonial grade matcha made from finely ground shade grown green tea leaves. It has a bright green colour and a smooth vegetal taste with mild natural sweetness.

Matcha is made from whole green tea leaves that are steamed and stone ground into a fine powder. It naturally contains caffeine, antioxidants (especially catechins like EGCG), and L-theanine, a naturally occurring amino acid in green tea. Because the whole leaf is consumed, matcha has a higher concentration of these compounds compared to regular green tea.

Ceremonial Matcha Tea is a finely milled green tea powder made from young tea leaves. It has a smooth, delicate flavour and is traditionally used as a plain whisked tea.

High Grade
Ceremonial grade matcha is made from the youngest tea leaves and is considered a higher quality matcha with a smoother and more delicate taste profile compared to culinary grade matcha.
