Geranium Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves, stalks, and flowers of Pelargonium graveolens. Known for its uplifting and balancing properties, it works on both the mind and body, relieving stress, anxiety, and emotional tension while promoting hormonal balance through its effect on the adrenal cortex.

Topically, Geranium oil supports healthy skin by helping to balance oily and dry skin types, soothe acne, burns, cuts, dermatitis, eczema, and improve circulation. It has been traditionally used for PMS, menopausal symptoms, neuralgia, breast engorgement, oedema, and sore throat. Its strong, floral aroma also naturally repels mosquitoes, and adding a few drops to shampoo may help combat head lice.

Historically, these geraniums were believed to protect homes from spirits, much like they repel insects. Native to South Africa, Reunion, Madagascar, Egypt, and Morocco, only a few varieties produce enough oil for commercial extraction, making it a valued essential oil in aromatherapy and skincare.
