This is an organic culinary grade matcha made from shade grown green tea leaves that are steamed and stone ground into a fine powder. It has a strong green tea flavour with vegetal, slightly bitter notes.

Matcha is made from whole green tea leaves, meaning the entire leaf is consumed rather than steeped and removed. It naturally contains caffeine, antioxidants (especially catechins like EGCG), and L-theanine, a naturally occurring amino acid found in green tea. Because the leaf is consumed in powder form, matcha provides a higher concentration of these compounds compared to standard green tea infusion.

Culinary Matcha Tea is a powdered green tea used in drinks and recipes. It has a strong flavour designed to stand up well when mixed with other ingredients.
